Installing and configuring Avaya IP Office TAPI Wave driver

These are the steps to perform to be able to use Avaya IP Office TAPI Wave driver.

Prerequisites

* Avaya IP Office wave driver on your harddrive

Configure TAPI Wave Extensions

In the IP Office create wave users with the name TAPI:<extensions> e g TAPI:801 for extension 801 and so on. Make sure the "Off hook station" option is checked.

The group that the driver should be a rotary and there should be a wrap up time of a few seconds so that WMME can dial out in a complex scenario such as conferencing et c. Queing should be off as well as voicemail.

Install the TAPI driver on the computer

Install TAPI on the computer from the user CD. Restart the computer.

Configure the TAPI driver to use wave files

Enter the Phone and Modem configuration dialogue and change the TAPI driver to 3rd party and to create wave users.

Create the TAPI wave device

Reboot the computer to make sure the changes is saved

After installation

Locate the device in the device manager and set "Mappa inte genom denna enhet" / "Do not map through this unit". This will prevent Windows from using them and creating faulty behaviour.

 

 Select properties page

Select the device and click on properties. Then check "do not map through this device".
